IKD Activities

A core Centre for Innovation Knowledge and Development seminar series has now been established and the schedule can be seen at http://www.open.ac.uk/ikd/events.htm on the main IKD website.

The Open Forum Workshops discuss the broad themes which underpin our interdisciplinary grouping.

The second IKD Open Forum Workshop took place on 1st July 2004, see the archive of that meeting HERE.

The third workshop took place on 16th September on the theme "what is research for?", see the archive HERE.

The December 2004 forum meeting explored the cross-cutting themes identified on the IKD main website.

Contributions on the people, projects and issues that might be associated with each of these are archived HERE. These addressed the themes and streams set out below.

Three Streams of IKD

1. Innovation

2. Knowledge

3. Development

Three Cross-cutting Themes

a. Environment and sustainability

b. Regulation and market behaviour

c. Entrepreneurship and industry dynamics

How differently might we interpret these across our group?

Which of our current activities illustrate these themes?

What synergies exist within them?

Thoughts and illustrations can be sent to s.e.little@open.ac.uk for posting to this site.

Alternatively ideas and statements can be circulated via the mailing list

Additions to the mailing list may be sent to Avis Lexton
